2010 BMW Z9 to Hit the Market Soon
The BMW Z9 is equipped with a V8 turbo diesel engine, first of its kind in the world. It is a 3.9 liter model, which has direct injection and common rail unit. The engine can produce power up to 245 hp and torque of 413 lb ft. So as to give outstanding performance, the torque is maintained constantly between 1750 and 2500 rpm.
Though the model was debuted as BMW Z9, the production model came with the name of 6 series. The new version, Gran Turismo idea automobile features short rear deck and long hood that have become characteristics of BMW sport coupe design. As far as the wheels of the automobile are concerned, it’s 21 inch rear and 20 inch front giant wheels. The model became M6 in production, though the automobile was shown as Z9 Gran Turismo idea automobile.
The dashboard equipped in the automobile is a giant 8.8 inch screen, which displays all the info needed by the driver, apart from the conventional analog devices, tachometer and speedometer. The Steptronic transmission mated to the engine can be operated by using buttons on the steering wheel and also the dash mountain lever can be used to drive or reverse the gears.
